Should I Buy This Motor provides vehicle buyer's briefing reports for private used-car purchases in the United Kingdom. Reports are generated using official DVLA and DVSA data combined with AI analysis. By purchasing a report you agree to these terms.

2. What the report is

Our reports compile publicly available and third-party vehicle data (MOT history, mileage records, finance checks, write-off checks) and present an AI-assisted analysis. Reports are provided for informational purposes only. They do not constitute professional financial, mechanical, or legal advice.

3. Limitations

  • Data is sourced from third parties (DVLA, DVSA, finance registers). We cannot guarantee its completeness or accuracy.
  • Scores and verdicts are algorithmic assessments, not guarantees about a vehicle's condition.
  • We are not responsible for any purchase decision you make based on a report.
  • Always carry out a physical inspection and, where appropriate, an independent mechanical check before buying any vehicle.

4. Payment and refunds

Reports are priced at £14.99 per report (inclusive of VAT where applicable). Payment is processed securely by Stripe.

Because report generation involves immediate consumption of third-party API credits, reports are non-refundable once generated. If a report fails to generate due to a technical error on our part, contact us and we will either re-run the report or issue a full refund.

5. Acceptable use

You may use reports only for personal, private vehicle purchase decisions. You may not:

  • Resell or redistribute report content.
  • Use the service to bulk-check vehicles for commercial purposes.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the platform.

6. Intellectual property

All content, design, and code on this site is owned by Should I Buy This Motor. Report content generated for you is licensed for your personal use only.

7. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Should I Buy This Motor shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or financial loss arising from use of our reports. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid for the report.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
